This video is 5 seconds of a "before taking the bike for a ride" photo followed by a time-lapse of the sight glass after the ride from engine off to 3 hours after engine off. The ride got the bike up to normal operating temperature. The time-lapse was a shot taken every 3 seconds. An hour of real time is compressed to 40 seconds of video.
Why? Because a discussion on the MOA forum got me thinking about how much oil level changes with temperature. It was also an excuse to try out the time-lapse mode of my new Drift HD170 Stealth camera.
What did I learn?
* How to operate time lapse mode on my new camera
* How to convert about 3,685 images into a time lapse movie
* The oil level doesn't change all that much between hot and cold
